Go To Signature Dress

Hello! I finally have a sewing project to show you. This is the Signature Dress from Go To Patterns. It's a size 3 for my littlest sister, Miss V. I let her pick the fabric, but she hasn't seen it yet, so I hope she likes it!

It's a simple knit dress, but there are so many different variations to choose from. The pattern says you could make more than 500 dresses without making two the same! This is the dress length, cap/long sleeves, and no pockets.

The little pleats in the front are so cute. There is also the option to gather instead, but I like this look. The pink fabric is from a thrift store. It was frustrating to work with when cutting because it was in a tube and it wouldn't lay flat! It's some sort of jersey knit. The pineapple fabric is from Girl Charlee, left over from my Lady Skater Dress

The sleeves are my favorite part of the whole dress! I decided to combine two sleeve variations and layer them. I chose long sleeves and cap sleeves. The little cap sleeve is adorable with gathering from the elastic and pleats at the top.

The back is supposed to have pleats as well, but I didn't read that part until I was done. Oops! It still looks okay and I don't think it will really make too much of a difference.

Next on my list is a Go To Signature Dress for my 12 year old sister.

What have you been sewing lately?
