I am 24 years old, Catholic, and work full time as a nurse. I have lived in Minnesota my entire life. Besides
sewing, I also enjoy reading, writing, running, riding my bike, baking/cooking, playing my violin, and having long conversations with friends.
I am the oldest of nine kids (I have six amazing brothers and two
adorable sisters). I love being part of a large family!
Some of my favorite things are skirts, the color turquoise, fabric, dark chocolate, coffee, books, vintage, snail-mail, and the sound of laughter.
I LOVE to sew. I love it so much that I brought my sewing machine
and all my fabric with me during the four years I went to college. I spend time sewing almost everyday! I was first introduced to sewing in 6th
grade through 4-H. I started with making quilts and then moved on to elastic-waistband
skirts. I didn't really get into making clothing until the summer I turned 16. Now, I make the majority of my wardrobe and wear me-made outfits 99% of the time.
I created this blog because sewing is something I enjoy so much
that I want to share it with other people. I'm 'The College Seamstress' because I was in college when I started my blog. It’s my little corner in the
blogosphere to document my projects, other sewing-related posts, and just life
in general. I hope you’ll stay awhile!
