Lulu Dress

Happy First Day of Spring!! I was home on spring break last week and was able to do some sewing. My little sister is growing and getting taller, so some new dresses were needed. The first one I made was a Lulu dress. I made a size 3T and it was a perfect fit for Miss V.

I love the cap sleeves on the dress and the elastic waist. I think the red knit brings out the plaid so well.

I actually used a knit shirt of mine that I don't wear anymore to make the bodice. It was just the right amount of fabric and I love that I could actually put it to use! The plaid is a cotton fabric found at an auction.

Miss V is growing so fast and she loved modeling this dress for me! I asked her if she liked it and she nodded her head yes! It will be a great dress for her to wear once the weather starts to warm up more.
