Wednesday Thoughts

Happy Wednesday! I am very tired tonight and decided to procrastinate take a break from school work and post some pictures of my sister wearing her new dress. :)

She loves her new dress and I think she looks so cute wearing it! The arms are a little tight because the pineapple fabric isn't very stretchy, but it fits and she doesn't seem to mind. I'm using the pineapple fabric for my 12 year old sister as well and I think I will cut the larger size for the sleeves so she has enough room.

I'm excited for the weekend to come! It's been a long week and I would like to do some sewing. I have some works in progress and lots of things on my sewing to-do list!

My life has been busy with school - driving to clinicals, doing homework. The nice thing about this semester is that I only have class on Mondays! It makes for a long day but it's super great for the rest of the week!

I'm also training for a half-marathon with a group from school. We plan to run it in May, so we've been training outside in the cold! Yesterday it was 0 degrees when we ran. Crazy, I know, but it feels so great when you finish.

I hope you all have a great rest of your week and stay warm!

  2. Sleeves can be tricky. I recently made my baby girl some nighties, same pattern, different fabric. One nightie the sleeves are a bit loose, the other tight.
I think I will wrap the fabric next time and see how much ease it has.
    Your sister is very sweet.

    1. Oh, that is a great idea for checking the ease of the fabric! I think I will try that next time. Thanks for the tip! And, I do think my sister is very sweet too. She is at a fun age!
